hi! might try and do this one in english, just because i want to cut down on my dutch and get used to the english language.. beside the pc checks my spelling in english so it will not be so hard...
first soem good news: just checks my aussie bank and my money is in so that is good! got my bank pass ass well so it should work now... couldn't get it to work yesterday though..
my first week here is over... i did the ultimate oz program and i wanted to put a photo if the itinerary with this post but it is in the garbage already... so i will describe it a little...
i arrived a few hours late so they had already started, but me and one other guy (also dutch btw) found them over lunch in darling harbor. from there we went to on a walk trough the city, saw the opera house and the harbor bridge, but is was all rather fast so i will have to go back to the opera house for a pic with me in it... in the evening we had a welcome dinner that i do not remember much of since i was basically asleep by then...
the second day we had uhm
and then i remembered where my itinerary was.. on my email of course...it is to long to put it in this post though...
so friday we had a information session about work and travel... that was okay... had some inspiration what i wanted to do here...
in the afternoon we went on a party boot trough the harbor.. not really my thing but fine.. had a good swim, a barbecue lunch and jumped of he roof of the boot..
Saturday we walked by the beach... we stared somewhere from witch i forgot the name and ended an the world famous bondi beach... it wss a fine beach but not s special as the tv show makes it of course... i like the walk better even though i did not where good shoes and my feet where painful... but all the pritty beaches and rocks made it worth it...
in the evening we had a pubcrowl. i had heard about it put never done is.. you go from bar to bar and at each bar you get 1 free drink... not really my thing. well okay, absolutly not my thing, but i went and stayed for 3 hours i think... i was kind of proud of that :p
the next day we checked out of the hostel and went to what they call basecamp. this is a place about 200 km above sydney, if you are interested look up anna bay, port stephens and or one mile beach... that should get you there.. anyway it is in the middle of nowhere so as we drove out of sydney i finally started to feel like i arrived at australia and was going to see some real aussie landscape... most of the girls, and some boys, where constantly screaming and jumping at the thought of wildlife such as spiders the size of my hand, possums, snakes and koalas.. i was more wishing i would see them (except for the ones that are toxic of course :p) and i did see bout 5 to 10 possums, 1 koala and a hole lot os spiders... they also have a pet kangaroo with witch you can cuddle :D
we stayed in this place for two nights and did an bush walk to an amazing view, went sandbording (lay on a plank and slide down the sand dunes :D), wnet looking for shellfish on the beach and went on a boot and say some dolphins...
then we took the train back and that was that, the end of the program... bye bye.. no they have an office here in sydney and are always prepared to help so that is nice... but it felt weird and i felt like my journey had really started and i had no idea what to do, where to go and i felt pretty alone... the first day i went to the bank and got my bank card and did not really do much else.. yesterday i went to a beach called Manly beach, on my own. the whether was absolutely crazy though! it started with literally 40 degrees and today it is 15!! i did not know that that was possible!
but manly beach was nice though! i walked around a lot and took a swim twice... but you have to look out here where to swim because the waves are crazy strong! another thing i could not have imagined... you can not stay on your feed... so if the waves go the wrong way you end up in new zealand (is the semi serious joke here) and there is nothing you can do about it... i saw some lizards as well... and then it was time for fish and chips and i went back home with the ferry to my dry and comfortable bed...
there is so much more to tell but i am getting nervous because i hate spending my time behind a pc and is want to do something so i will leave it at this..
my plans are to go in directing melbourne, make a few short stops on the way, stay a week in melbourne and then go to either tasmania or do the great ocean road.. it depends on who i do or do not meet to travel with... also still working on that one...

kisses en greetings for now
